Scott Partridge and Partridge LLC provide full-service counseling in meeting the challenges confronting litigants in high-risk disputes. With deep experience in litigation and trial strategy, Scott has been in the vanguard over the past decades in designing, implementing, and administering creative alternatives to costly, inefficient, and uncertain litigation. Scott has decades of experience participating in various alternative dispute resolution procedures, as outside counsel, in-house counsel, and as a business executive. He personally has been involved in hundreds of mediations, scores of arbitrations, and thousands of complex negotiations with adversaries and government regulators and agencies.

Before launching Partridge LLC in January of 2023, Scott served as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Bayer US from 2018 to 2022 and led its team of legal and other professionals responsible for ensuring compliant and innovative growth, reducing and effectively managing litigation, protecting Bayer’s reputation, and providing business partnering counsel to the Company’s agriculture, pharmaceutical and health care businesses.

Prior to joining Bayer, Scott was Vice President for Global Strategy for Monsanto Company where he guided global competition policy, coordinated strategic advocacy on critical issues, and led the Company’s dispute resolution activities. Scott developed and led a multifunctional team across Government Affairs, Law, Public Relations, Corporate Strategy and Commercial Operations to create and advance U.S. and international business strategies and goals. He was instrumental in the negotiation of Bayer’s acquisition of Monsanto and led the Monsanto team responsible for global government approvals.

Scott received his J.D. and LL.M. degrees from Tulane Law School and practiced with a large New Orleans firm for fifteen years before forming his own boutique litigation firm in 1995 with twenty-three lawyers. While serving as Managing Partner of Frilot Partridge, the firm grew to seventy-five lawyers with a national practice representing a diverse set of domestic and international clients in a wide variety of matters, including class actions, mass torts, as well as commercial and maritime disputes. After leading his own firm for more than a decade, Scott joined Monsanto as Chief Deputy General Counsel in 2006.

Over the past decades, Scott Partridge has assumed a leadership role in advancing alternative dispute resolution policies nationwide, including membership on the Boards of Directors of the highly regarded International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, as well as the American Arbitration Association International Center for Dispute Resolution Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the prestigious non-profit RAND Center for Mass Claims and Compensation. Most recently, Partridge LLC, along with four other firms, were hired by the Maryland Attorney General to represent the State of Maryland and resolve all the State’s claims against the M/V DALI interests for the destruction of the Francis Scott Key Bridge.
