Hunter Schoen has a value-driven practice which focuses regulatory law, employment and labor, and commercial litigation. In particular, Hunter works closely with businesses, from local construction companies to publicly traded companies, to provide advice and legal solutions that are proactive and account for a business’ overall goals. This business practice extends to regulatory advice, navigating employment issues, drafting and reviewing agreements, and representing businesses in litigation and before regulatory bodies.

Hunter has practiced before the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission, Louisiana Racing Commission, Louisiana Tax Commission, Louisiana Board of Tax Appeals, Small Business Administration’s Office of Hearings and Appeals, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and federal and state courts across Louisiana.

In law school, Hunter served as Issues Editor for the Louisiana Law Review and completed a judicial externship for Justice William J. Crain while he was on the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeals.

In keeping with the firm’s commitment to community service, Hunter also devotes time to philanthropic and charitable organizations and events, including the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Secret Santa Project and the firm’s annual St. Michael’s basketball tournament.
