Alex serves as General Counsel to Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ), providing strategic advice and counsel regarding its civil justice reform initiatives. Alex recently founded his own firm, and prior to that was a Shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. He served previously as the Deputy Staff Director and Senior Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he spent five years advising then-Chairman, Senator Orrin G. Hatch (R-UT).
Alex worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia and also practiced general commercial litigation in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Dee V. Benson, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Utah.
