Erin Pauley represents manufacturers and national retailers in products liability and mass torts litigation matters across the country. She has taken and defended high-risk depositions, argued significant trial and appellate motions, and tried cases to verdict.

• Represented a national retailer in a talcum powder mesothelioma trial resulting in a unanimous defense verdict for retailer
• Represented a prosthetic knee manufacturer in a product liability trial resulting in a unanimous defense verdict for major medical device manufacturer.
• Coordinated the national defense of more than a thousand litigants and serving as trial counsel in the defense of a prosthetic knee device for a medical device manufacturer.
• Defended several major national retailers against hundreds of cases filed in Illinois state courts regarding the alleged sale of a histamine-2 blocker medication.
• Defended a major pharmaceutical manufacturer against several thousand cases and claims alleging retinal injury from the use of a bladder medication.
• Represented an oncology practice in a breach of contract bench trial resulting in finding in favor of practice, which was affirmed on appeal.
Since joining Barnes & Thornburg, Erin has also assisted pro bono clients with a range of legal issues, including defending a young individual in a non-compete action brought in federal court, representing prisoners with respect to due process violations, and working to resolve an animal custody dispute.
