Prof. Michael Borden

CSU College of Law

Professor Borden currently serves as Assistant to the Federal District Court and Counsel to Special Master David R. Cohen in MDL 2804 – In re National Prescription Opiate Litigation.

He teaches Complex Litigation, Contracts and Corporations, as well as other business and commercial law courses at CSU College of Law.

Professor Borden serves as a mediator and is an arbitrator on the AAA Commercial Panel. He has served as an expert witness in numerous cases involving shareholder rights, corporate fiduciary duties, and contract law.

He was an attorney with Leboeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P., in its New York and Paris offices from 1998 through 2001. 

Professor Borden is a member of the Advisory Group for the Northern District of Ohio and serves as the Chair of its ADR Committee. He is a past president of the William K. Thomas American Inn of Court and a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter.
Professor Borden is a member of the American Law Institute.
