Suzana Blades is a Legal Executive with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams and working collaboratively in a matrix environment to deliver results. In her current role at Kimberly-Clark (NYSE: KMB; 175 Fortune 500), she leads a team of seventeen attorneys and professionals that provide advice to the Company on risk management, policy and legal operations. She also serves as the General Counsel for our Natural Solutions business. She strives to provide clear and effective advice on legal risks and policy, based on data and risk analysis, to mitigate risk and support the Company’s Powering Care transformation and growth ambition. She began her career 20 years ago at Arnold & Porter LLP working on large international investment disputes. After approximately five years, she decided to go in-house. She spent almost twelve years at ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP; 68 Fortune 500) in Houston, where she initially managed international energy disputes and then advanced to a managing counsel position, managing the Company’s U.S. and international commercial litigation matters. In 2022, She joined Kimberly-Clark as Head of Litigation. She quickly advanced in the Company and, in addition to Head of Litigation, presently manages the Government Relations and Legal Operations teams and serve as General Counsel of their Natural Solutions business. She also served as the Legal lead supporting our Powering Care Transformation in 2023-2024. She is a people leader that believes and exemplifies a performance-driven leadership culture. At ConocoPhillips, she led a cultural transformation project (“OneLegal”) that focused on improving collaboration and breaking down silos. This project won a ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Award and was featured in a Harvard Case Study (Prof. Heidi Gardner, HLS 20-60, November 2020). At Kimberly-Clark, she designed and executed, together with an LLT colleague and in partnership with HR, a best-in-class talent development program for the Global Legal Organization and served as a culture leader.
